Eyelid Surgery In Cyprus
Why Should I Have My Eyelid Surgery In Cyprus
Upper and lower eyelid surgery in Cyprus, otherwise known as blepharoplasty, is one of our most popular procedures at Cosmetic Surgery Cyprus. Eyes are often the very first part of the face to show signs of ageing and therefore often the first facial cosmetic surgery procedure patients choose to have with us is eyelid surgery. Patients can choose to have either upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery or both upper and lower eyelid surgery together.
During your eyelid surgery in Cyprus, the drooping of the eyelids will be corrected by removal of the excess skin or fat which is causing the ‘sagging’ appearance. Although patients typically choose eyelid surgery in Cyprus for anti-ageing reasons, it can also be medically necessary to complete this procedure if the upper eyelid is drooping excessively and begins to obscure the patient’s vision. Eye lid surgery (blepharoplasty) can correct the normal contour of the eyelid and remove any excess folds caused by the hanging skin. Eyelid surgery can also correct bags under the eyes or drooping lower eyelids which cause too much of the lower eye to be exposed. Finally, eyelid surgery in Cyprus can help to correct fine wrinkles on or around the eyelids. See the amazing transformations of our previous eyelid surgery patients here.
Blepharoplasty Procedure
Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, can be completed under local anaesthetic and therefore you can leave the hospital on the same day and can be back relaxing at your hotel around 3-4 hours after your operation. At Cosmetic Surgery Abroad, we recommend you stay for around 7 days in Cyprus so we can provide you with the necessary aftercare.
The eyelid surgery itself is very simple and complications are extremely rare. The recovery is easy with only mild bruising and slight swelling which clears within a few weeks. On the morning of the procedure with us at Cosmetic Surgery Abroad, our surgeon will complete a detailed consultation with you and will precisely draw on your eyelids so you can see exactly where the incisions will be made and the skin that will be removed during the operation. With upper eyelid surgery these incisions are made in the natural crease of the eyelid and with lower eyelid surgery the incision is made just beneath the lower eyelid underneath the natural lash line. The scars are very minimal and are barely noticeable after healing.
The first step to having your eyelid surgery in Cyprus is simple. Just send us some photographs of your eyes from the front and from either side for assessment by our surgeon. We will provide you with a detailed assessment, which is completely free and with no obligation, and our helpful coordinators will assist you with planning every stage of your treatment.
